Allergy New Zealand Youth Camp
9 – 11 May 2008
Are you interested in having fun and talking with other teenagers with food allergies? Come to camp and experience a weekend like no other. It will feature activities that make camps memorable, give you an opportunity to talk about the real issues that affect you and listen to some top allergy experts.
Interested? Check out the details below…
Date: Friday 9 May (evening) to Sunday 11 May
Venue: Carey Park, Henderson, Waitakere City (in Auckland)
For: Teenagers (13 - 19) with food allergies
Cost: $55 (members) or $80 (non-members)
Activities: Include rock climbing, abseiling, flying fox.
Talk-fest: Open interactive forums with allergy specialists
And now for the other important stuff…
A parent / caregiver must attend camp with anyone under 16 (optional for over 16). A unique and separate programme will be run for parents that will give them a chance to discuss stuff and ask questions to the Allergy experts. They will also be invited to help oversee the food preparation alongside Allergy NZ staff.
You’ll have to organise your own travel however Allergy NZ will provide transport between the airport and Carey Park for those flying into Auckland. An info sheet and registration form can be downloaded (click
here to go to our page) or phone 0800 34 0800 and ask for one to be posted to you.
