We have compiled a number of credible allergy-relevant resource links below. We hope this information and advice provides some comfort, guidance and support for you and your family during these extraordinary times.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Disability Connect www.disabilityconnect.org.nz for their help in identifying these resources.

Allergies and COVID-19

The Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) advises that

“... most people with allergic rhinitis (hay fever), eczema, food, insect or medication allergy are not immunocompromised and are therefore not considered to be at greater risk of any respiratory infections….

... People with asthma are also not considered to be immunocompromised, however, asthma may sometimes be triggered by infections.”
