Blue River Dairy is initiating a recall of their Milk Maid’s Vanilla Sheep Milk Ice-cream after discovering that the product had been incorrectly labelled. The label states that the product is Allergy Tolerant, Lactose & Dairy Friendly. This could be interpreted as meaning the product is lactose and dairy free which it is not.

Comments:

Consumers who are allergic to Blue River Sheep’s Milk Ice-cream are advised not to consume this product. Any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

Consumers who are allergic to Blue River Sheep’s Milk Ice-cream should return the product to their retailer for a full refund or phone Blue River Dairy on (03) 211 5150 with any queries.

Moa Brewing Company is recalling Weka Apple Cider and Weka Pear Cider after discovering that the product has been incorrectly labelled and the “Contains Sulphites” declaration was inadvertently omitted.

Weka Apple Cider and Weka Pear Cider should not be consumed by people allergic to sulphites. There have been no reports of illness, however any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

Oriental Merchant PTY Ltd (NZ) is recalling Crown Pie - Chocolate Pie with Marshmallow Cream, 180g, after discovering that the egg ingredient (allergen) is not declared on the individual foil wrapping around each biscuit inside the carton. The product contains 0.4% egg and therefore should not be consumed by people who are allergic to eggs.

There has been one reported case of illness; any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

This imported product (origin: Korea) is sold in all leading supermarkets, Asian stores and independent retail outlets throughout New Zealand. Customers concerned with the presence of egg in this product, should return the product to their retailer for a full refund or phone 0800 10 33 05 for any advice.
