Youth campAllergy New Zealand Youth Camp9 – 11 May 2008Hey, you interested in having fun and talking with other teenagers who live with food allergies? Come to camp and experience a weekend like no other. It will feature all the awesome activities that make camps memorable, give you an opportunity to talk about the real issues that affect you and listen to some of the top allergy experts. Interested? Check out the details below… Date: Friday 9 May to Sunday 11 May Venue: Carey Park, Henderson, Waitakere City (in Auckland) For: Teenagers (13 - 19) with food allergies Cost: $55 (members) or $80 (non-members) Activities: Include rock climbing, abseiling, flying fox Talk-fest: Open interactive forums with Allergy specialists And now for the other important stuff… A parent / caregiver must attend camp with anyone under 16 (optional for over 16). A unique and separate programme will be run for parents that will give them a chance to discuss stuff and ask questions of the Allergy experts. They will also be invited to help oversee the food preparation alongside Allergy New Zealand staff and volunteers. You’ll have to organise your own travel* however Allergy New Zealand will provide transport between the airport and Carey Park for those flying into Auckland.
