The network was established by the Paediatric Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) in 2012 to “establish a national multi-disciplinary network that will support clinicians working across community, primary, secondary and tertiary services to deliver high quality, cost effective and integrated eczema treatment programmes for children, youth and their whanau.” Allergy New Zealand’s Advisor, Penny Jorgensen, is a member.
Eczema affects over 25% of New Zealand children and care is delivered in a wide range of settings. The Network aims to foster co-ordinated management across the entire continuum of care.
The Starship’s website has established a clinical network site which includes information and resources for health professionals for the Treatment of Eczema in Children and Youth, developed by the Clinical Network. Click here to visit the site.
